The Training Facility will be a centre of excellence providing high quality evidence-based palliative and end-of-life-care, education, and development opportunities. We wish to train unemployed youth to be certified excellent caregivers, at our training centre situated on the premises in Maryland.

Poor, unemployed from Hanover Park and surrounds
Minimum requirement is completion of Grade 9
Candidates will need to commit to one year of training
Skills development
Basic nursing, palliative patient care, complementary therapies, upgrade literacy and numeracy, learning and study skills, computer literacy, communication, principles of housekeeping: good hygiene, cooking, and cleaning.
Nursing
Basic biology, patient care, giving medication, home and community care.
Palliative care
Principles, home-based care, interventions to reduce pain and assist mobility, complementary therapies.
Self development/care
Problem solving, work opportunities and work profile, personal finances, drivers license and self-care.
Skills development
Basic nursing, palliative patient care, complementary therapies, upgrade literacy and numeracy, learning and study skills, computer literacy, communication, principles of housekeeping: good hygiene, cooking, and cleaning.
